　　　Since the autumn grain was put on the market in mid-September last year, the national grain and reserve system has earnestly implemented the decisions and arrangements of the CPC Central Committee and The State Council, effectively strengthened the implementation of grain purchase policies, coordinated market-based and policy-based purchases, and promoted the implementation of various purchase measures in an orderly manner. By the end of April this year, the peak season of autumn grain acquisition has ended smoothly. In general, the acquisition shows the characteristics of orderly organization, high acquisition volume, fast progress and stable market.

　　　　The acquisition was well organized. The grain storage system, in collaboration with relevant enterprises, coordinated epidemic prevention and control and purchase of autumn grain, strengthened warehouse capacity, capital and transportation support, refined and consolidated work plans and measures, optimized services for agriculture and enterprises, and strengthened supervision and inspection of grain purchase and sale, effectively ensuring the smooth progress of purchase work. During the period, due to rain, snow and epidemic, the periodic grain purchase and sales activities were affected. Relevant regions strengthened coordination among departments and took timely and effective measures to properly deal with the situation, and the overall purchase progress was basically not affected.

According to statistics, by April 30, 2022, grain enterprises in major producing areas had purchased 185.25 billion kg of autumn grain, an increase of 25 billion kg year-on-year or 16%, with the total purchase volume at a high level in recent years. In terms of varieties, middle-late season rice reached 66.3 billion kg, an increase of 5.5 billion kg year on year, among which 39.2 billion kg of japonica rice and 27.1 billion kg of middle-late season indica rice increased by 4.1 billion kg and 1.4 billion kg respectively. Corn was 116.55 billion kg, up 19.55 billion kg year on year, and was the variety with the highest purchase volume and the largest increase. Soybean 2.4 billion kg, basically the same as last year.

Since the autumn grain came on the market, the market of main grain varieties is good, farmers are active in selling grain, enterprises are active in harvesting grain, and purchase and sale are very active. Middle and late rice acquisition progress has been faster than the same period last year. The progress of corn was slow first and then fast. The average daily purchase volume of corn was about 0.5 billion kg in the initial stage of market, and gradually accelerated in the later stage, and increased to about 1 billion kg in the middle and late January of this year, which was the highest in the same period in the past five years. Progress has slowed since March but is still faster than a year ago. Soybean progress and last year roughly equivalent.

The six provinces of Anhui, Jiangxi, Henan, Hubei, Hunan and Heilongjiang have successively launched the implementation plan for the minimum purchase price of mid-to-late rice in accordance with the procedure, and rationally set up purchasing and storage outlets based on farmers' demand for grain sales. By the end of February 2022, when the implementation period of the plan will be over, 14.65 billion kg of mid-to-late rice will have been purchased, mainly in Heilongjiang, Anhui and Henan provinces, an increase of 9.75 billion kg over the previous year. Of these, 2.35 billion kg of middle-season and late-season indica rice and 12.3 billion kg of japonica rice have been fully utilized to support the market, and the market operation is generally stable.
